Re: Switch to disable elevation
All I need to do is find a suitable place for the switch so I don't have to dismantle anything. It's a pig to get in to.

Re: Switch to disable elevation
Again, you can program your flysky i6 radio to do it, and no need to solder anything or install any switches.silversurfer1947 wrote:All I need to do is find a suitable place for the switch so I don't have to dismantle anything. It's a pig to get in to.

Re: Switch to disable elevation
Now you've lost me. How do you program a FlySky transmitter?

Re: Switch to disable elevation
Due to I dont have your radio I can not guide you step by step, but what you need to do is to limit the output signal of the stick that moves your barrel to an 80% or so. Doing it, you will be able to move your barrel at your will exactly like it works now, except it wont shoot, so thats great.silversurfer1947 wrote:Now you've lost me. Then, you need to asign a signal of channel 3(if i remember well) with the maximum output power you can (125% probarbly) to any switch you want to have the barrel shoot, and -125% for the machine gun to another switch.
Done. This works with IBU boards too.
Your radio is pretty decent and capable of doing more things than some people thinks. It even can have 10 channels!

Re: Switch to disable elevation
Thanks. That seems to make sense to me. I will give it a try.

80% and 125% being travel adjustment right?
Re: Disable elevation, HL mod, and all others via tx
This issue and also be solved using fire buttons (momentary switches wired to the trims) which mean you don't affect the elevation. I've also found a self centring left stick is a huge help here.

Just fitted a momentary switch to mine, I have been meaning to do that for about 5 years, lol. Only took about 10 mins. Just soldered two wires onto the pot terminals and that was it, job done.
