Disable elevation, HL mod, and all others via tx

As many tankers know, the gun on most tanks is fired by pushing a stick up. This inevitably raises the barrel as this is on the same stick. After a few minutes the barrel is pointing skywards, and if your IR emitter is in the mantlet you won't hit your target in a thousand years.

So, the solution is to fit a switch. HL tanks often have a BB safety switch under a hatch, if you are using IR the switch is redundant. Simply desolder the wires from the switch and discard them.

Desolder either the black or red wire from the elevation motor.
Extend the wire so that it reaches the switch and solder it to one of the end terminals on the switch.
Get another piece of wire and solder it from the elevation motor to the middle terminal on the switch.

Now you can activate the elevation, put the barrel horizontal, flick the switch to deactivate the elevation motor, and it won't movve when you fire the gun.

Dont need to cut anything, just program your radio and you wont shoot anything with the sticks even if you move to the top and lower end, and asign switches with the functions desired.

Well, I asumed he was using a programable radio. There are radios like that for 20 pounds.

Unless he is using an old tamiya attack radio, he should be able to do it in seconds.

Interrupting the elevation circuit won't affect the gun fire or the stick. The only effect will be to stop any current going to the elevation motor. Using a switch means that if the barrel does get knocked on anything and move, you can just flick the switch, adjust the barrel position using the tx stick, and switch it off again.
