Beautiful work as usual Mr Frank is this based on a heng long tank or Tamiya? Excellent either way just curious. You have such a great talent to make beautiful work and so fast

Nice one! How does the additional turret front armor and the tubes move when the barrel elevates / depresses?

The added armour was attached to the mantlet, with the hydraulic cylinders above assisting with the elevation process.

That article doesn't mention the cylinders at all.
I don't doubt you Hermann as to there purpose but I always believed , wrongly now , they were for controlling recoil.
Don't get your panties in a bunch , we still got hand weapons and the fifty!

Yes Hermans correct....I think the tubes were fitted as shock absorbers to lessen the strain on the elevation gear due to the extra "bounce" created by the longer barrel...they were fitted to the prototype before the extra mantlet armour was added...
