Louis, as you can see I have also switch to a very small 2S lipo battery as well. It is actually the little one that Heng Long ships with their T-90 tank and other new tanks I believe. Originally I have to switch to a low profile Heng Long gearbox so that the Juckenburg kit front glacis plate does not rub the gearbox. I have also since raise the gearbox mount so that the sprockets actually looks right but then have to switch to a super flat gearbox as you can see in the pics. Lastly, I definitely think that you can mount a Heng Long rotation unit underneath the pivot to make it traverse. I thought about doing that as well.

Take a look through Alwyn's Nashorn build, you might be able to take some inspiration from his servo elevation/traverse/recoil setup.

A Clark TK-22 can handle servo gun control in all axes for a reasonable price (at US$90, it's the cheapest aftermarket board).
