But any of the Panzer 4s once assembled and Painted/Modified or the Queen Anne Solid Silver Coffee Pot engraved by a Victorian Silversmith would all massively lose their value.
I build my Armour for my pleasure (Which is why there are no photographs) not for any financial return because it is my hobby,
BUT if I was commissioned to build a Panzer 4 That would be a very different matter.
Your builds are a testimony to your skill Very nice indeed.
Shaun.

If I remember correctly I thought this one came already built by the guy, I thought Carl just purchased it from ebay as is in the photo's above.

Your right Jake, but I thought Carl was asking if he worked on it would that affect its resale value against the value of it when it was in its box.
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Ahh yes Shaun but it was only because you said this " Your builds are a testimony to your skill Very nice indeed" I thought you may have misunderstood and thought Carl had built the kit. Anyways I'm sure Carl changing a few things such as sound and springs won't effect the value to much...more likely it will be worth more.

Thank you guys for the feedback. I think if I keep the upper hull in tact as it is to preserve the work already accomplished by Juckenburg and upgrade what's under the bonnet it will be a nice runner but more of a display piece

More like a conversation starter when someone visits my office.

I just didn't know if it was more valuable since it was one of "his pieces" so I didn't want to tear it down and pay for it.

I'm sure if I'm careful enough I can preserve the beautiful work and add my own internal and mechanical touches

Carl

I've bit the bullet and separated the hull. Reworking the stock hull so as not to destroy Mr Juckenburg's work. Added stiffer springs in rear swing arms and fitted the Tarr smoker form Tankbear and the very nice speaker box from Mr Maxmekker.

I added some styrene to under the speaker to reinforce the hull and the speaker box is also secured to the hull to add strength.

Metal tracks on the way....

The front now snaps into place and I will place magnets to the rear for quick removal to access all the electronics inside.Image

Are those the Heng Long pot metal gearboxes? It's nice to be able to fit the Tarr there; I'm using the Taigen 5:1 steel gearboxes in my SU-152 and they take up too much room to fit anything in between.

Have just fitted my Taigen metal tracks and sprockets...

Tank commander is now on duty and the commanders cupola is functional now. It was originally glued shut when I received it.

Added a metal German fire extinguisher and metal antenna with resin base from Tank-Modellbau

Added some stowage accessories and finished wiring the interior.

Now I just need a board to fit...
