Juckenburg kits for sale on eBay.de

Post by c.rainford73 »

I came across what appears to be some complete or already completed kits being sold by store-Juckenburg1 on eBay.de

They appear to be built to me

Some really one of a kind complete builds guys...

Looks like the assembled kits from his old website?

I was able to make a deal for one of Juckenburg's assembled kits. A nice Kv-2

€138.00 plus shipping. He still has a few items left from his shop.

Thanks Painless It does look somewhat familiar to me lol.

I know he has a nice 8 wheeled armored car ( a Puma) left and a kv-1S listed at this time.

I figured with his quality and for the novelty of having one of Juckenburg's pieces it was a great deal!

It will be a great addition to the collection

Hi Carl, When Juckenburg closed a lot of us were quite teeed off, so finding some of his work on E-Bay is great but the following site has everything plus their own range of products,------
http://www.MK-modellbau.de/
If you look at the left side panel near the bottom you will see the Juckenburg link.
Don't forget if you are buying from the United States you are not liable to pay VAT(Value added tax), but it is always worth telling the dealer you are in the USA because some dealers include the tax automatically unless they are reminded.

Good info Shaun I did not realise that I could remove the Vat. Some dealers automatically remove it, I will keep that in mind going forward. I will check out the site.

I was also told that if it is under 25 euro the seller doesn't do it because of the paperwork involved. rctank.de does it all the time, and Asiatam will only do it when you ask. Usually it basically cancel out the shipping so what you see is what you pay at the end.

So my KV-2 arrived from Mr Juckenburg's collection from his website. It took about a month to arrive here in the states. It has his resin cast turret and a metal gun. Resin accessories and bits resin fuel drum and rear ammo rack.

It's a Heng Long model kv that was converted. It's got all Heng Long electronics 27mhz with an old rx18 and metal gearboxes.

It has plastic tracks and wheels. The suspension needs to be upgraded. I may try to add tension to the springs by moving the holes they lock into. I don't want to change it much.... Just get it running and sounding real nice.

Since there are many who enjoy the hobby on this forum I wanted to get some feedback.

1. Since Juckenburg is no longer personally producing these kits and this was one of his personal pieces from his website is this considered a collectable that I shouldn't change much? Anyone with knowledge of his work or his moulds might be best to answer this.

Did he personally build this or was his work commissioned?

2. Would the upgrades I mentioned do much to affect the value of the tank if not left alone?

3. Should I just do what I wish tastefully and have fun since its mine now and it's probably not worth too much?

Sorry for the test format lads Image

I value your opinion on this in advance. Not trying to over think things but don't want to make a mistake before I get out my tools....Image

Hi Carl, I have never given much thought to the financial value of my "Tanks" But I would compare an untouched Tamiya (Still in its box) or a brand new Heng Long/Taigen Panzer 4 with an Original Queen Anne Solid Silver Coffee Pot all of which are marketable,
But any of the Panzer 4s once assembled and Painted/Modified or the Queen Anne Solid Silver Coffee Pot engraved by a Victorian Silversmith would all massively lose their value.
I build my Armour for my pleasure (Which is why there are no photographs) not for any financial return because it is my hobby,
BUT if I was commissioned to build a Panzer 4 That would be a very different matter.
Your builds are a testimony to your skill Very nice indeed.
