Tamiya Early Tiger 1 Static to RC Build

It was a very busy weekend with a couple of days of driving so I was very happy to be home and back to working on the Tiger. Thank you, C.R.73! I just do what I can do to add a little pop to the kit. I painted the hatch and mounted it to the turret. It works well and there is enough of a friction 'clip' into place that magnets will not be needed. Pics:

An inexpensive Chinese tool. Plastic and metal, fairly sturdy and the light can be powered by 3 AAA's or a USB cord that came with the unit. Thank you again!

I've been dealing with a bad head cold for a week or so now but surprisingly enough, work on the Tiger did not suffer unduly. My concentration was on small and fiddly and not on how miserable I was physically. ;o) Tamiya RC Steps 41, 42 and 43 have all the assemblies complete. All that remains is the Commander, plugging in the electronics for final mount and painting the turret to add these last assemblies. Pics:

Super job Mr Painless hope you are feeling better as its obvious your work has not suffered although you are under the weather!

The fine details on this build as I have mentioned before are top notch and are an inspiration to me and many others I'm sure!

I tried to do the Aber mods to the smoke launchers on my Tiger, so know what's involved. My result were nothing like yours. I doff my hat to you , sir. Most impressive.

Good morning,
I'm excited that the final steps to this complex build have been reached. The Mate was asking me when I planned on starting mine and I noted that it would be soon but not 'too' soon. Only the kit builds will see this level of detail. The RTR builds will stay at stand off scale detail. I have a new tool coming in today, a turntable to allow for easy rotation of these beasts. Should be very useful. Those smoke launchers will be attached to the turret plate with a drop of 24 hour epoxy. That will keep them in place if Sass runs this through heavy brush. There are still a couple of small pieces of brass conduit to add so those wires have someplace to call home. ;o)
