It's amazing how many pieces of armour went there to be repainted ( over original camo) and shipped off and out. I've got some really nice books showing the Panzers that they had in original camo. Did all thier armor get shipped off?
Tanks alot....

I guess it was relocated to fort Lee in Virginia and what remains is not being displayed publicly at this time. Some items that were displayed outside can be seen like the railway gun.

That's actually parts from 3 different railway guns put together to make the one. None of it works anymore, I'm talking about the brakes and railway parts not the gun.
They wanted us (they=ARMY, us=Norfork Southern railroad) to move it but it was in such bad shape we couldn't move it by rail. We (we=Norfork Southern railroad) bring in all the ARMY stuff to the coast and move tanks from Aberdeen to the marine terminal.

Good evening,
Both your tanks and your figures are superb. Thank you for sharing them with us all. There is still some time today to enter one in the TOTM collection. I won't be setting up a Poll until tomorrow morning.
regards,
Painless

Yes they are my "strange addiction" have been building WW 2 armor since I was a little kid. My grandfather served in Europe in the US Army and he always told me amazing stories of the war and he always bought me a new model kit military of course in the form of battleships and tanks.
Our favorites were Shermans and tiger tanks. He'd always brag about the tanks especially TD's as he called tank destroyers and the battleships he saw off in the Atlantic while there.
When he got home everything was painted red lead and then green or battleship grey.
Probably built to many models to count with him!
Now I'm into this hobby on the larger scale and it gives me a lot of enjoyment in the form of axis armour. Shermans will come too.
