Tiger Day (at my house) Tiger collection

Post by c.rainford73 »

I was inspired by a YouTube video of the Tiger collection at the bovington tank museum.

I've yet to collect a Elefant (Ferdinand)that runs though I did build and sell a static one..

All of these tanks run have been upgraded and are my favorites (I'm a crazy Tiger fanatic)

I've included a 1:16 scale static model of a Luchs for scale.....

We have been dealing with a bit of snow here so I've been having fun indoors....which could explain the pictures Image

Very nice!

As for that Elephant I know they don't have its recent history straight so I'll fix that for you. My friend Joe Benson FOUND it in the woods at Aberdeen Proving Grounds here in Maryland and told his Sgt.. Then they went and looked at it and called their 1st Sgt. He came out and the ball got rolling and it was hauled out of the woods. The guys from the TV show Tank Restoration redid the tank now it's been shipped back to the UK for all of you over there to enjoy.

Jack that's an awesome story! Your information is one of the reasons this forum is so great! Was she in storage for a while back here in The USA until her recent trip to the UK?

I'm not sure where it went after the TV show was finished with it as the tank museum at Aberdeen Proving Grounds is long gone now. The collection of tanks and armor were split up and sent all over to different new muesams all over the world. Proof of that can be found by looking at your new Elephant! LOL!
