While on the subject , and my first year into ir battling , the confusion still sets in , on to what one apple is better than the other, be it tamiya , impact , henglong , etc , I know most clubs have rules implemented to a certain extent , but there is just so many variances to judge and can't be policed, you can use a clark , tamiya , IBU , SLU , etc that gives or receives a great hit , or just a good emmitter that you picked out of the 20 you had in your box , I've had tanks that could clobber anything within spec , then my other tank I use with exact setup couldn't hit another tank if i hit it with a bat ! My henglong apples with clark board setups take a hit from anything , and that's coming from 3 different tanks in one battle day , not just one , can't stick your nose up on one setup to another , so the controversy lingers on what's better , my opinion is it can never be judged , the only person who complains is the one who missed ! Lol

It's simple, if you want to go the rules route you say a tank need to be able to give and receive hits at "X"m on all four sides and the other rule that's useful is the emitter is in a 6mm (off the top of my head) tube 9mm deep. Have a tank which doesn't receive hits isn't fun for anyone, conversely neither is one without an emoter tube which his everything on the battlefield.
