20% Vat and customs? Well, you might not know that Kevin at rc tanks australia does not declare the real value of the parcel and he declares it as a gift. It even comes with a birthday paper, so you wont pay not even a penny of vats of customs. You only need to say that is a gift from your dear friend in australia just in case customs stops the parcel, and It wont happen because it is too small.tomhugill wrote:Whilst the asp might be able to handle higher quality samples I would argue the speaker enclosures we use mean that doesn't make much difference. However the videos I've seen seem to show the asp sound engine is pretty basic compared to the ibu3, el mod, benedini and Clark tk60. It is fairly cheap but when you factor vat at 20% customs handling charge and shipping it's way more than an ibu 3 for a lower quality board.
Shipping charges? I paid 14 aussie dollars for 2 boards with registered shipping. How much is that, 8 Pounds? I cant say that is expensive. I think it took less than two weeks to arrive from australia to europe.
About the speaking enclosures, well, for example I use the original tamiya speakers in my tanks, so the sound really is a BIG differnece. Also the sounds in the IBU3 are 64 mb maximum In my sherman I have about 800mb of sounds, so go a compare the quality and cuantity, and you can always make your own customs sounds if you dont like the stock ones.
And a lower quality board? LOL, please tell me why it is a low quality board.
Just in case: I sold all my IBUS after getting the ASPs.
