That was one factor I considered at length. I also wondered whether the spacing between the wheel bogies differed from those on Taigen- (it didn't), and where the extra length was distributed to (couldn't find a definitive answer to that one). However, with the idlers in their least extended position (9 o'clock) on the tensioner, the standard track set would have needed two extra links just to join up..in the pre-chop hull, that is. Now, they come together; but I'll need a tiny adjustment (backwards) on the tensioner- 6 o'clock position probably. Incidentally, the idler's new position doesn't detract from the overall look. In fact, it's about as far from the idler to the last bogie wheel as it is from the sprocket to the first wheel. :thumb: On the grown- up real thing, the idler is slightly more offset than the sprocket. A little loss of accuracy in the running gear has to be infinitely better that hulls mismatched to the tune of 1cm. Scaled up, that would leave a glaring gap on the real thing of almost 6 inches! ..
