Thank you Stian. My Panther is again in use; I have still to complete this thread.

At turret bottom it goes on. If the gun is in the highest position, the recoil mechanism is with their rear end located under the bottom plate of the turret. Therefore sits the actual driving ring this time a little deeper; I glued just more layers polystyrene rings together. Photos, here from below...



…and here once again a view from inside. Here is also to see the holder for my connection plug. All parts are connected with screws and so, if required, also to dismantle.



From below was glued the actual driving ring with the rotary disc and the spacer ring.



At the front range of my turret bottom I’ve mounted a little angle, because the turret bottom hangs down a bit to the outer edges. Here is always the plug connection mounted – thereafter can the turret bottom screwed together. Photos…





Further at the upper hull. For a correct distance I must set the rotating ring a bit deeper. I used this chance to give the upper hull more stability; again with a plate of polystyrene. Again pictures…





Thereafter then a test mounting of rotation ring without turret – fits super and the rotation goes very soft and easily.



Now to another problem at my Panther, the gun elevation mechanism. My gun elevation has from time to time sometimes clamped. So I’ve decided me to use a servo for the gun elevation. For an independence from turret bottom I’ve mounted the servo at the turret side wall with a holder from polystyrene plates. At the elevation unit I’d screwed a plate with a longitudinal slot; there can the servo arm engage. The rear end of the recoil unit was also extended with a polystyrene plate with adhesive weights to compensate the weight from my gun barrel. Again photos…









Than was the turret bottom closed…



…and followed from mounting at the upper hull. There was at the same location as the original rotation motor the new rotation motor with gear mounted; attached again with an holder from rests of polystyrene plates.











So much for today…
It should be noted that there was no touching up paintwork needed; the turret rotation ring needs a smaller cutting as the outer edge of the turret support rollers, the turret himself lies very deep and masked the rotation ring perfect.

Today to the third problem; the rigid track tensioner by Tamiya. So looks the tensioner normally.



And here now the sprung version of the tensioner; as all of my vehicles was a torsion spring between mounted.





This tensioner fits not without additional changes; the speaker box must also adjust. First sawing…





…fitted…



…and subsequently again closed.







As part of a good maintenance will also the gears cleaned, tested and then greased.



Both gears again mounted…



In conclusion of my maintenance report still a few snapshots from the electronic…
…the bridge with on/off switch and charging socket; mounted with Velcro tape…



…the fuse at ElMod-board was changed against a 15 A fuse; upstream connected a second fuse with 10 A…



…the connector for the turret group Anschluss was vertical mounted because limited space…



…the connector for the back light was realized over the adjusted HL-turret cable and is of course separable…



…and for the flashlight was made a corresponding adapter plug (blue/orange cable).



Because the 360°-rotation of the turret is a rigid antenna a problem and quickly broken off once. That’s why I’ve used again my version with a little spring.





At finish is only to say, that all functions are fine and that this rebuilt has really paid off.
