I will be ordering in a day or so and then I will let you know as for which tank I am stumped but the short list is Panther tiger. King tiger. Jagpanther jagtiger then there is kv1 kv2 maybe sherman 76mm for a fury paint job and then there is the paint designs desert camo grey unless you go Russian then there is er green or Mmm green
Anyway kid in a candy store
Thanks for the info Ben.
Ben, you say Panther tiger. If you mean what is referred to as a Pantiger, leave it in the store. Buy either the Panther G or F, or a Tiger1, or one of the others you mentioned. All fine tanks. You can recognize the PANTIGER by it's very flat front fenders.
I got to admit I have never heard of one of those and yes I meant a panther G or F and a tiger1

Can I stick my two cents in here? I have both the Imex/Taigen King Tiger and the Imex/Torro King Tiger, as well as several Tiger Ones, both Imex/Taigen and Heng Long. I also had a Torro Sturmtiger and found the lower hull to be identical to the Taigen Tiger One.

I have the advantage of buying from Imex in Florida so the tanks, both Taigen and Torro, are slightly different from what's available in Europe and the UK. First, the Torro tanks over here do not come with the wooden crate, and are less expensive as a result. Imex also does other things special for their tanks, like when the Jagdtiger came out in Europe it had zinc gearboxes, but Imex Jagdtigers come with ball-bearing-steel-geared boxes.

Having both the Taigen and Torro KTs I can say the Torro lower hull is superior. Any time you build one of these tanks it's kinda like building a house. Start with a crappy foundation and you get a crappy house. In my humble opinion, if you want a solid tank you need to start with a metal or metal reinforced lower hull with torsion bar suspension and metal suspension arms. Every Torro and Taigen Tiger One comes with a metal lower with torsion bar suspension, but when it comes to the King Tiger only the Torro has these features. The Taigen King Tiger is a plastic lower hull (with metal roadwheels and tracks/spkts/idlers) and coil spring suspension. It also does not have a lift off top, which can make things like refilling the smoker more difficult. I also happen to like the fact that the Taigen Porsche turret is plastic. I'm trying to get away from metal turrets as I think they just add undue stress and you can't really tell the difference once they're painted. Metal just for the sake of metal isn't always a good thing, can ya dig it?

So that's my humble opinion. Whether you build the Porsche turret or the Henschel turret you should start with the Torro lower hull (the torro tracks are also far superior to the Taigen tracks) for the torsion bar suspension and the lift off top. My friend Terry added a Torro lower to a Taigen King Tiger and he now has a real beast on his hands.

This is just one more reason why I think Erik's plan to offer kits is a great idea. The Panther series will be totally up to us to customize, which turret, roadwheels, etc, and they want to do that with all the kits. That will be a real step forward for us, the consumers.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

This is my first Torro (I have 3 Taigens) and on face value, they are very similar on quality (Very good ).
I will look more closely at the internals in the fullness of time.

Looks very nice Tiggr, on my list right after the 76mm Sherman.
