For ........Max-U52

Post by Spartan tracks »

I would just like to say a big thank you to MAX he was reading my ABT King Tiger post and noticed something, He then PMd me saying I have 3 sets of KING TIGER Rear Engine Grills and if I wanted them they were mine ( free) to enhance my ABT.
He then posted me these FREE of charge not from Scotland but from good old DETROIT USA, I think this just goes to show the thoughtfulness and kindness of people on this forum, PS keep an eye on the post MAX I'm sending you something back kind regards Andy.

Heard it thru the grape wines that Max-U52 is selling all his tanks. Maybe someone at RCU can confirm ? Here is his Youtube video on the news......

My sentiments entirely. Such a shame though, all from lousy neighbours, it seems..

Yes sadly Max is being forced to sell off a large portion of his collection. I was lucky enough to have been invited by Max to come visit his tank park and collection in person and to meet him and his cats. Great guy who's been royally screwed.

The only reason he didn't post them here for sale is shipping of these would be a fortune.

That's really sad that someone so helpful and passionate about this great hobby has to sell them. Hope all works out for you MAX-U52 and you stick around as I'm sure and hope you will.
All the best from the UK mate

I will also second the comment on how helpful and generous you guys are when people need advice. From my own personal experience I had a blown up board in my Tiger and posted on here asking how much you think one would cost. Kaiser replied and said he had a spare and kindly offered it to me......he wouldn't take anything for it. Anyway a few days went past and a parcel arrived via airmail from Australia ! I'm in the UK and didn't even realise he was from there ! What a true gentleman and that I wont forget. THANKS KAISER

He's not leaving the hobby, he just needs to liquidate some funds A.S.A.P. I was assured he'd be back with a vegence once everything is settled.

Hi Guys, and thanks for all the kind words.

First, to Andy, I didn't actually have those screens here, I ordered them from Imex specifically for you. You're a great guy that's been through a lot of crap lately and I wanted you to know how valuable a member we all think you are. I only wish I could have gotten them there before you painted the tanks, but I know screens aren't too bad for repainting.

And Jack is right, I'm not leaving the hobby, just needed to raise some fast cash to get out of a bad place. I didn't post the sale here for a variety of reasons, the first and foremost being that the shipping from Detroit to the UK for anything larger than decals and such is absolutely horrendous.

Also, when I had a problem with my cat, Nancy, you guys were beyond fabulous. Not one single one of the guys at RCU donated to the gofundme page, but the guys here at RCTW donated enough money to cover the entire biopsy so all I had to handle was the blood work. I appreciated that more than I can say, so when this happened the last thing I wanted to do was burden you guys with another one of my problems. I sold off enough stuff to make the move, but those here in the states that were paying attention may have noticed that I didn't sell any of the camera gear. Can't make tank movies with no cameras, eh?

So I'll still be around, you ain't gettin' rid of me that easy. @) @)

And for all the guys that commented on the generosity of the members at RCTW, you're absolutely right, this is the most astonishing community I've ever belonged to, and I'm looking forward to many more years of friendship and good times with everyone here. You guys really are the best and I'm glad (and proud) that you call me one of your own.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!
