Mato Review

Post by thebronze »

I purchased an IR upgrade kit and metal gearboxes for My HL Tiger1 and reciveved a defective RX18 and crystals ???, The gearboxes didn't even get shipped to Me ???. I made a complaint through Pay Pal and they did nothing for Me ???...I'll never order from them again...I'd rather pay shipping from the US than get ripped again. Too bad as I live in Canada too... :'(

I had a couple of problems with items I had bought on ebay and had trouble getting the seller to ship the items.Paypal protects the seller a lot more than the buyer. They kept dragging their feet in trying to get the seller to ship my items,so I called my american express card company and had payment stoped by them to Paypal----I wasn't about to play footsie with the seller and paypal. This will result in a chargeback fee to the seller, and it will get their attention.

I have  never bought any thing from Mato and after hearing several stories about non delivery or parts missing from orders or even them sending out defective parts. I will not be using them at all

My experience with Mato was very good.  Had one very minor problem and they corrected it quickly.

Me too! I currently have a HL Pershing in the wind coming from them. I even added two things to my order the next day (before it was shipped), and they were able to add it in. I did have a defective transmitter and smoker once, but they replaced it right quick. I did have to pay return shipping on the transmitter though...

I think that the problem is with the quality (or lack of) of Heng Long tanks. I think that thru shipping they get loosened crystals, broken wires and such. But that is just my opinion.

I deal with Mato with no issues. I also deal with RC Command with no issues, but being Canadian also I have to contend with Customs and exchange and such when dealing with RC Command. If you have given up on Mato, deal with Bill at RC Command- he will do his da**dest to make sure you are satisfied.

I contacted them about the problem the day the order arrived and I opened the box...I sent an e mail to customer service. Said they'd send the gear boxes. 2 days later i had time to PLUG in the RX18.(no way to hook any thing up wrong) and nothing...Just flashing lights... I sent another e mail to C.S and they responded there is no warrenty for electronics...Now there is no way any wires we're hooked up incorrectly, THEY PLUG IN...I tested the RX18 in 2 known to be good tanks..and the same thing happened...The crystals and board are no good...I sent another e mail, and recieved no response other than "no warrenty"...So I contacted Pay Pal, Pay Pal will only refund $$$ if the purchase was made through E Bay...And now they will not respond to any communications...So I basically threw $138 away...as the gearboxes we're not delivered and any other parts we're defective...

Shocking!!! How do these people stay in business? Take the transmitter with you on your visit, and threaten to insert it where it will hurt them the most!  :o :o :o
