Got some done over the w/end.
The lower hulls had a base coat of Vallejo Russian green. The idlers are adjustable now but I forgot to take pics of the mod but will get some when I take the tracks back off to fit a couple of parts.
The tracks themselves were given a light coat of Vallejo rust then dragged on a paving slab to take the colour off of the high points.
Now I'll start cutting out hatches etc on the top hull.

Neat work Del, your KV's a nice-looking machine. Which metal exhausts are you using?

Mornin'
Your KV-1 is really coming along. I love the dual speaker setup and the neat appearance of the painted inner hull. Just shows what can be done with HL components. Those metal exhausts are manufactured by Asiatam, I believe. Taigen sells them here in the States and uses them on their high end versions of the KV series. Following along.

Spent some time in the turret,I've cut the Bb unit about ready to make the servo recoil unit and after much cursing of fiddly wires and a few burns from the soldering iron the vampire battle system is in.
It's has also had a coat of green and some shading.
