The KV's are some of my favorite tanks, following along.

Spent an hour this afternoon working on the tracks,I used the gun bluing technique detailed in the tips section but this time used a different bluing liquid to the birchwood casey super blue.I used this alternative purely because it was cheaper and they stock it in my local gun shop.

I didn't realize they were too high, how much did you lower them?

I lowered them 3.5 MM so the top track run to the idler is flat, there's another thread on here by blimp from about 5 years ago doing the same thing.seems to be the Heng long thing with the Russian tanks,I had to lower my t34 as well.
Then again looking at my stug, that looks high on its suspension compared to old photos,it's probably that our models don't sag into the suspension like the real thing so look higher than they should.

If you look at this pic you can see it's a straight line from idler to the return rollers with the last roller being slightly higher than the drive sprocket.

Fitted the gearboxes, smoker and receiver this morning then got the lower hull wired up.
Just looking at where I'm going to fit the volume controls at the moment.
