Re: M36B1 attempt
Hi Frank, yes those are exactly what I am after, can't buy them anywhere separately, even though any other part for a Sherman seems to be available from somewhere or other.
Drop me a pm, and let me know how much you want, postage etc.
Many thanks
Rob

Re: M36B1 attempt
It's' like trying to herd cats...
With thanks to Frank for the elusive track holders, I decided to make my own lifting loops out some stainless steel rod. It's as tough as old nails, but the dremel carbon disk managed to get through it, bending them neatly was a challenge, but I got there.
All I can do now is sit and twiddle my thumbs waiting for the turret....

Re: M36B1 attempt
Now either everyone isn't paying attention, or no one has fitted metal suspension units to a Mato hull before. I painstakingly remodelled the front end and today decided I may as well remove the old suspension units and primer the lower hull. At this point I realise that I can't get the front suspension units out without removing the geraboxes, and I can't get the gearboxes out without removing the front end that I just built.
Nothing undone that I can't do again, but something I would rather have not had to do!

Re: M36B1 attempt
After a long trip on a slow boat from China, Forgebear managed to get the bits I needed to me. Well done Dave, all nicely boxed and wrapped.
Did a quick test fit to make sure that there were no unexpected surprises, and the metal bits go straight on. Basically all that I have to do is primer and paint, so I am a happy bunny!
