That's so borderline in so many departments, it's an absolute must to have in terms of ultimate boyz toyz.ALPHA wrote:Here's something you can base your next M22 build on43rdRecceReg wrote: Not joyriding tank jocks, General..but a failed experiment in controlling early RC full size tanks...or, a couple of inebriated, purple-heart wearing tankers on R & R, decided to arrange a dodgem session in the park. In any event, the thread has come to the point where any iteration of the Sherman- it seems- can be converted into a Firefly. Thus, I'd like a Sherman fitted with that huge M22 undercarriage, (a la 'Funny Car' hotrod..massive sprockets at the back, tiny at the front), 17-pounder barrel, and painted pink with purple stripes..It would also need a massive exhaust system to announce its presence, along with the multi-horn (playing 'Dixie') from an intercity train...
But it would start out like this:

But I'd quite like to see a Sherman doing this..
and wonder what sort of motors and extreme gearing a 1/16 model would need to do the same! :

Well popping a wheelie is a probable no go with any tank lol...just because of how the traction is applied ...with that said though...it isn't impossible for you to revisit a childhood past time...that being doing some drifting ye ol Big Wheel

I think with WW2 tanks...a Stuart or maybe one of them M22s...but for sure the new tanks can

And apparently PINK is a bad color when drifting

The movie Tank Girl is being played on one of the local TV stations this month. Saw it long ago and don't remember what tank they used as the base for hers. Would make an interesting project though to try to make a copy of it.

How right you are General....and, having been to a couple of Highland funerals (This afternoon, and Yesterday)..I could do with a cheery runaround. Highland funerals tend to be dour, conservative, and religious .. the exact opposite of the riotous, booze-fuelled riots our Irish cousins hold with their wakes. No 'immortals' up here, contrary to popular myth. Thus..my funeral escape car would be: ..and the quaint design sensation; the family runaround, would have to be:

Before commenting on your wonderful finds 43....Here's something that boggles the mind

Now I'm sure the guy probably thought he had a great concept there...Not sure why there's a handlebar except for the purpose of hanging on for dear life ...but hey...WHY ASK WHY

LOL...This one looks a tad Medieval ...hard to keep clean with all those rivets

This little buggy is cool...you know those little cars are pretty much death traps...but decked out like that...I'd buy one
But really...I've always been a fan of the Volkswagen...so my choices for some Big Boy Toys would be more along the lines of these

That there is like Volkswagen Heaven

PS. My Condolences to the passing of your compadres
