That's a genius idea for the gaiter! Why did I not think of that! Looking good dude

Yeah I know, it works really well. I can't take credit for it though as it was a mate on another forum that came up with the idea and supplied the parts to me.

I have just added a bit more weathering to the gator and it takes the weathering master pigments ok. It looks a bit more grubby now and the ribs look a little more defined, but the way it bunches up on recoil is really very good.

might have to look into it myself!

Paul,

Excellent update to the challenger.

My DKLM recoil unit arrived yesterday so I will put this on my list of things to do.

Do you know whether the person who provided the gator is planning on selling them?

The gaiter looks very good. Where can I get one?

Paul

Quickie question, I've just got the DKLM metal sprockets & idlers, the idlers have a different thread to the stock idlers, I take it they just wind in & cut they're own thread??

Hi Scalawag

Excellent build log with so many good ideas and quality items.
Almost finished my Tiger now and after thinking I would only ever get WW2 tanks, cannot wait to get a Challenger 2 :D

Will be following all Chally builds with interest, keep up good work.

Has anyone managed to get the commanders sight/cupola moving independently from turret yet..... :haha:

Mark
So many upgrades so little cash :haha:

So impressed i am starting to do the same mod to my Chally. I am however trying to find a spring of sufficient diameter and light enough not to challenge the servo. Please can you tell me what outside diameter and wire diameter spring you used and where I might get one. Thanks :D
