Hey dude looking good! I have a different solution for fitting the driveshaft supports that I will detail when I 'officially' get my chally next wk! Pretty much plan on similar build as yours, you got any plans for the rear light clusters? Started on mine already, will post pic later.

Well these are the originals
Extended the sides after some grinding off of the molded in detail

And finally lenses but am not happy with these there to big so getting redone!

Very, very cool work there. ;o) I like how things 'fit' in your tanks. That's a hard thing to pull off especially if the battery box is still present. You make the right points, it is there for a reason and different means of stiffening the hull must be found if it is removed. Taigen is a lesson in this with all of the metal braces added to their open, lower hulls.
