Started the tracks this evening, grey primer coat then started Tamiya hull red, the airbrushed over with a couple of light costs of flat black with a little NATO brown in so the hull red showed through for that slightly rusty look

Then began painting the track pads with rubber black, only managed to do one track as it takes ages to get through all of them! Will finish the other one tomorrow quick coat of clear then weather them up

It looks amazing! You've certainly transformed this model. Funny how these builds keep ending up in the kitchen!

Cheers, Tom

I agree! Standing at a counter brings the work closer to your eyes and you closer to beverages and snacks. Following along.

Well got abit more internal work done last night, built a box for the IBU2 too sit / be secured in and placed everything in the hull. I was not happy having the rotation servo in the hull as it kept catching and slipping and it was easier to mount it to the upper hull than build an adjustable brackets like I did in my leopard, so here's the pics and thanks for scalawag for his great builds I stole the servo mounting idea from him, although my version is the ghetto version as am no good at neat and pretty am happy if I get functional :-) oh and also screwed in a strip of plasticard across the turret ring to keep the cables out the way!

Then ripped out the servo and with a little magic and ghetto engineering -

Just need to get it all hooked up now and finish my weathering, although I may just go drive it in some mud like I did with my other tanks it's alot quicker!
