I agree with you, once the initial fear of playing around with tiny electronic components is overcome then the whole process is easier. I don't know about you, but I now scan possible future tank purchases for prospective sensor hiding places! I have a Jagdpanther on the way, that looks like a challenge??

I now have 10mm alloy tubes on the mantlets of both my Bulldog and Tiger, all colour matched of course. I cut up an old modelling knife handle and it was a perfect fit.

Take a look at the new Flexible RBU from Radio Control Custom Tanks (http://www.radiocontrolcustomtanks.com). It is all wired all you have to do is decide where to put the IR sensors and LEDs No more apple sticking out the top of the turret.
For those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.
