Cheers Herman! It was mostly down to scalawag's excellent guide! But they have turned out well, still can't do eyes though so all figures from now on are going to be wearing goggles! Will try post some pictures of the completed tank later when I take some!

Yep. Lots of people think those are the real lights but are actually reflectors. Wot I did with mine was to remove the LEDs and cover these up with styrene. Then I glued on red reflective material. Really makes a difference, like the real thing. I have yet to wire the tail and brake lights though as I haven't got 3mm red LEDs around (already have the 3mm yellow ones).spongehoobtank82 wrote:Forgot to mention one adjustment I made to the hull! The rear brake lights on the heng long are not brake lights at all but reflectors, the brake lights should be in the corners. So I left the ordinal LED's in place to act as reflectors, drilled and ground out the rear light clusters and weird in New brake lights here's the results-
Looks much better I think
Good job on the rear lighting.

Yeah I did consider putting something reflective in the old LED's place but it was easier just to leave them in for now, I may do it at a later date when I wire in indicators amongst a few other finishing touches!

Price is kinda steep for that reflective foil. I bought a roll of 3M reflective tape from eBay for a nice price and just used a punch set to make the discs.

Hehehe in my case the punch set I have is your regular one at the hardware store that probably cost a dollar or two.
