Sherman and Kingtiger
You have probably all seen this photo..but still amazes me to look at the two..it must have been truly frightening to be in a Sherman and see one of these in the distance.

The Sherman crews would only see the KT for a few moments then 1 of 2 things would happen. #1 they'd turn and get the hell out of there while calling in an air strike or #2 the KT crew saw them too and they just became a crew of ghosts.

You could still get round the back of a King tiger just as quickly. You might lose two other Sherman's still...

Being in a Sherman- Spotting a Tiger I, KT or Panther in any sort of open ground would be a real problem.

I think I would be looking to kick the arse of whoever was in command of the reconnaissance section if they failed to report a King Tiger in the area!
