Re: Working Tiger Commander
Wibbly no genuis here just stubborn.
971 here is what I have planned for "hatch man" A small threaded rod lifts him up. As he is already down, the arm is up. As he rises he actually pushed the hatch open. As the hatch opens a small catch locks it up. When he is about half way down the cam acts to lower the arm. There will be a cross cut in the cam that disengages the right arm once it is lowered. Rotation of the head to the left causes the cam to lift the left arm with Map, binoculars, bottle, whatever you want.
When he looks to the right the cam again engages and the left arm rises and contacts the hatch. At the same time the rotation depresses the hatch lock, and releases it. A small magnet his hidden in his hand. When he reaches up the magnet contacts a tiny bit of metal inplanted into the hatch. As he lowers the hatch will also shut.
Sounds a lot harder than it is.

Another great mod Don.
Don, could you remove the internals of your working mechanism and post some pictures so we can see the detail of the mod.
Cheers

I'll do even better. Getting ready at this second to start a build step by step to show everyone how to do it. I have a componant and wring diagram fro those who do not wnat to use a servo. They can use RX-18 RX-14 or just turret motion to operate the little fella.
Stay tuned my Brothers!
