Panzer question.
Does anyone here have a Panzer 1,2 or 3? If so could you please post some pics and measurement of how wide the tracks are. Please. I need to find out some details for these before I order a set and get stuck with something that won't work.
Thanks guys.

Re: Panzer question.
This is probably no help But PANZER 4 tracks are identical to PANZER 3, the only difference is that the PZ4 has more of them.

Re: Panzer question.
Ok then a 4 too.
I may have to go with the 251 metal tracks from Asiatam but they're 1/16 scale and my halftrack is 1/18 scale and I wonder if they'd even work? I know size wise they're very close but the way the drive sprocket meshes with the tracks I'm not sure if this would be an issue or not, does anyone know? The Asiatam tracks are VERY nice! Metal with rubber pads!
VERRRRY nice!

Re: Panzer question.
Remind me to Email you later Jack
I know of tracks that are narrower than the Panzer III or IV
which measure in at an inch outside to outside a little under 3/4 where the sprocket hooks in

Ummmmmm....... email me.
Re: Panzer question.
Don't forget about the guide horns. PZIII + IV tracks have a single guide horn in the middle of each link. PZI, II and PZ38t have two guide horns on each link.

Re: Panzer question.
Well damn then I need a III or IV. Thanks Woz!
Think I may just try the 1/16 251 tracks. Gonna email Asuatam first and see if I can get some measurements on them.
This 251 is turning into a pain.

Re: Panzer question.
You might also consider using the tracks from a 1/25 Panther model. Two rows of guide horns, and the length should be enough for a 1/16 Sdkfz 251. The sprocket is very different, of course; but the outer side could be made better-looking. Certainly a cheaper route to try than the correct - but costly - Asiatam ones. -Mike
