3/8 ×.014×12 inch tube.
I just used the whole tube that came in the package. It fit the standard barrel hole in the mantle. Probably isn't scale, but works for me. Hope this helps.

I have seen pics of the finished Tank. He's using KV-1 tracks with M41 sprockets. It looks fairly close.
