Questions questions lads, do I buy metal gears and uprated motors with built in bearings or do I buy similar gearbox motors without bearings and save 20 pounds pros cons if any one has info on said subject. Also I want a turret that rotates 360 with ir capabilities, I'm building a scratch tiger 1 late on a henglong upper hull and a taigen metal lower with taigen wheels etc. I don't mind converting a early turret to late. Thanks in advance :O

Gearboxes and motors are something I don't skimp on after having destroyed several cheaper ones.

As for 360 rotation all you have to do is use a file and make the teeth where the block off is. Then a little sheet plastic and a rotation piece for the wiring and you can make any turret 360.

Hallo Blitz,
www.welshdragonmodels.com
have just started selling a "360" turret ring complete with all the necessary bits and pieces that make sure your wiring dos'nt get ripped out, It needs a Metal TAIGEN I/R turret to work, it costs about £15, and it is in stock .  shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Yeah I've seen your metal turret with 360 it's just I'd prefer a plastic turret metal barrel with 360 other wise I'd buy one, but thanks for help.

I have an old henglong tiger 1 the turret moves up then when it reaches its limit it moves down, on my new scratch build I would like the turret to move and down using left stick, is the possible and if so how do I convert my next turret to do move up then down without having to let it reach top limit etc

Hi Blitz, The movements of your Turret or indeed any part of your Tank is dependent on the control board you are using. If you are using a HENG LONG or TAIGEN board then you are pretty much stuck with what you have, If you are using an after market control board then just about any multi-channel transmitter can be programmed by you to run your Tank in your preferred settings. shaun
