Hi
I want to try to fit a higher capacity battery in, before I break something how are these two thing fitted, are they just on a sticky pads fixed to the plastic plate under them?
The idea is to move these two units further to one side and insert a 3330 upright alongside the hull.
The supplied battery is a 1700 NI-MH, I think the one I want to use to replace it is NI-CD, is that ok?
Thanks
Tony

Tony I would be surprised if your battery is a NI-CD these are pretty much all phased out.
These batteries have a memory, if you totally exhaust them and then put them on charge you will get a fully charged battery,
But every time you put it on charge with some power still in it the amount left in it will be lost, and this amount of lost power will increase exponentially over time because for every time you charge the battery with some charge still in the battery that amount will add to what has already been lost, which means in a very short space of time your battery will take hardly any charge at all.
NI-MH batteries which is almost certainly what you have are an improvement but to be rid of the effect completely you should give serious thought to LI-POs.

I think I am about to upset someone

As per Kiaser if you remove the speaker from the base plate you can re-arrange it so that it is more efficient. This is the layout of mine, and I even squeeze in a TARR smoker in between the gears and it is affixed to the upper hull. The battery I have there is 5000 mAh lipo that is the same size as the HL battery case. It doesn't matter in this case as I am just putting it on its side. The speaker is also much larger than the stock Taigen one as well.

Thanks, I'll check that outKiaser wrote:I could be wrong but someone might jump in here but the plate your referring to is screwed from underneath the bottom of the tank the hole thing should come out then the speaker has screws holding it from memory and the bottom of the control board is stuck on .

Thanks Kaiser you were spot onKiaser wrote:I could be wrong but someone might jump in here but the plate your referring to is screwed from underneath the bottom of the tank the hole thing should come out then the speaker has screws holding it from memory and the bottom of the control board is stuck on .

Removed the board and modified it can now slide the larger capacity battery in no problem
