I am sorry if I ruffle a few feathers BUT what is the point of having a BLACKLIST if people read it and then buy from a dealer on the BLACKLIST and then come here whining about how badly they have been treated, THAT IS WHY THEY ARE ON THE BLACKLIST!!! shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

There are two issues here. One is that HL quality control seems to have taken a bit of a nosedive, what with incorrect sprues, incorrect assembly etc, and Nitrotek, who may well have unwittingly sold an Abrams with an incorrect suspension arm (I doubt whether the guys in the warehouse have instructions to check the goods before despatch).

The buck stops with the retailer in the UK, that much is clear under the sale of goods act.

If the goods were paid for via Paypal, or Ebay, then their resolution process usually sorts things out in favour of the customer. In this case it is 100% faulty goods.
Likewise on a credit card.

I am now imagining a guy at Nitrotek frantically opening hundreds of boxes of Abram tanks trying to find one that hasn't got the wrong suspension arm fitted. :shh:

The acid test isn't the manufacturer, it's the level of customer service that you get when something goes wrong and how well it is put right. In this case Nitrotek have a history of poor customer service (probably low staff levels etc as it's a cost to the business) but that is how they keep their prices down.

If the Abrams had been in a consignment to any other retailer then someone somewhere would have bought it, but would they have been ignored when they reported the fault?

50% of the reason I buy from particular dealers is the knowledge that should there be a problem it will be dealt with to my satisfaction AND that is why I avoid nitrotek and will continue avoiding them even if they do offer an attractive up front price.
What price peace of mind?
But I am very pleased although slightly surprised that nitrotek came through. shaun

Received an Abrams with the exact same wrong part factory installed in the same place. Got mine from Mediateck and their customer service had the right part out to me 2 days after I contacted them.
