Nice looking depiction of the movie tank. Like to see some pics with some weathering.

fynsdad wrote:The turret does look a little small, but that may just be the camera angle. I remember reading how the Heng long Sherman was going to be over an inch too wide, before it was released and people actually saw it in the flesh...... ;)
Thought the hull was a tad long too...but could be the variant ...think I'll just get the lower :D that metal turret is going to be hard to mod ;)

So any plans for more crew members or will war daddy stand alone

this guy would be a cool addition :D

You did quite a stunning job, painting the commander especially! That's a true rolling work of art.

The Smithsonian channel has/had a documentary on the making of same. I found it interesting, they hired a technical adviser to show the actors playing the enemy, the Waffen SS, exactly how to handle the MG42, the panzerfaust that blows up one of the Shermans, and so on. He was an Englishman and he explained his role on helping the authenticity of the movie, "The Waffen SS were not easy to beat. If you portray these people as stupid, you're not doing anyone any good."

What a load of rubbish !

who would go line abreast in 4 shermans over a 500m field not knowing what the bocage ahead held ? And as for the mp44 where did wardaddy get his ammo ? mr pitt is a dreadful actor !
