Thought the hull was a tad long too...but could be the variant ...think I'll just get the lowerfynsdad wrote:The turret does look a little small, but that may just be the camera angle. You did quite a stunning job, painting the commander especially! That's a true rolling work of art.
The Smithsonian channel has/had a documentary on the making of same. I found it interesting, they hired a technical adviser to show the actors playing the enemy, the Waffen SS, exactly how to handle the MG42, the panzerfaust that blows up one of the Shermans, and so on. He was an Englishman and he explained his role on helping the authenticity of the movie, "The Waffen SS were not easy to beat. If you portray these people as stupid, you're not doing anyone any good."

who would go line abreast in 4 shermans over a 500m field not knowing what the bocage ahead held ? And as for the mp44 where did wardaddy get his ammo ? mr pitt is a dreadful actor !
