Hi Pete, that picture gave me the idea.

My Sherman is loosely based around this one however I'm using it as a test bed similar to how the government would have done.

In simple words it may come out with an AA gun mounted, a mortar mounted or a standard tank turret mounted.

. I had to cut out the turret hole in a M26 scrap top and then fit it into the HL sherman top for the turret to run on otherwise it was an easy build.

Hey Merlin...think what Hawkeye is referring to is that the Tamiya turret base is larger than that of the HL...if you use a HL Pershing turret you shouldn't run into that problem

Thanks Alpha yes thats what I mean, sorry Merlin I had a senior moment and forgot to clarify it. I have some pictures of the build if they are any help to you merlin.
We will have to get together sometime merlin and have a chat and coffee.
