Now...for both Tanku and Merlin.... to get the first end cap started... clamp the pin in a vise grip just enough so it has enough sticking out to be shoved into the end (from the inside of the cap) then get your plumbers slip lock pliers and carefully squeeze the pin into the hole ...repeat till you have two in ...like in Tanku's picture ...it should be tight...that way you know it won't come off when you are playing with your tank :D

One of the uses I found was fitting return roller mounts on a HENG LONG Panzer 4, Line the roller mount up with the 4 holes in the hull and apply some pressure on the grips and the mount fit is as good as the factory could do.  shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

this is the frank Sinatra way ........ so its tracks off wot wot
1...the pin will have a knurled end .......2 place the track bits together as pics ? 3 when you have put them together then with a small ish ..flat screw driver ,placed the track with the knurled pin end on a flat hard surface place your grouser on the pins at the open end then with the screw driver put it nicely to the grouser then tap home using a toffee hammer this will then push the pin home and the grouser will be flush but don't hit it to hard and bend make sure all is square and not to tight ,bobs yer auntie fannies yer uncle .......wot wot
the grouser will be the other way round so the cup looks upwards not as pic ....wot wot .....

Hi Canned, the tracks from Forgebear do not have a knurled end on one side of the retaining pins, they are a straight uniform pin. I found that to connect them I needed to gently chamfer the ends to as to aid the engagement into the end locking pin.

Even then it was a tight squeeze and I needed the use of a vice to push them home rather then a set of pliers.

the pins should slide through the track piece pretty easy this needs to be free for movement get ones drift ...so you will have to do each end separately tap the inner sprog on then the outer then the grouser ? try it ? don't bruise the pins ....wot wot

If you were to need help with how to deploy cargo out the rear end of a C130J Hercules doing 300knots to hit a target the size of your back yard then I'm your man.

In the regards of RC tanks I don't think I'll get there anytime soon.
