Superb tiger 1 you have done a great job on the detailing and the paint job is awsesome. The pictures are brilliant too it could be a real tiger in the battlefield. Very impressive.

Thank you men; the tiger is now at least so that I like him too. Unfortunately still also a minor mistake; the tactical signs are not correct, each platoon in the LAH has a different marking.

Only after a half year operation time and my Tiger 1 is already again in the maintenance. But not really for repairing, because he has proved itself well in the meantime - it goes more about implementing of a few improvements and ideas from me.
In detail it will be:

• Switch to a 8-channel radio and installation of a ElMod Pro II with electronic volume controller
• Relocation of the main fuse under the driver's hatch and the charging socket of the turret under the radio operator's hatch
• Installation of a servo for the MG-control
• Damage elimination at idler wheel arms and installation of spring-suspended idler wheel arms
• Installation of a proportional recoil unit and gun elevation adjustment
• Installing a ElMod Combat Simulation Interface
• Installation of a cable entry/slip ring for endless turret rotation in connection with mounting a Tamiya Leo 2A6 turret rotation ring
• Optimization of the existing transmissions
• Again a few changes at the rear plate
• Further changing of a few little things

Yes, a lot of ideas have accumulated; again a comprehensive program and I hope certainly that it will eventually pay off.

The initial situation, my HL Tiger 1.



For the installation of the new control ElMod Pro II had the Tiger of course first be dismantled. The existing base plate was used further.



Since the per-board is only slightly longer than the Eco, the mounting at the old position was not a problem. In addition, both boards with new firmware 2.0 and the blaster with the so-called NextGen sound. Photos...









Along with the new control board I'm also switched to 8-channel radio, although only 6 channels at ElMod module are connected. The other two channels I use for the electronic volume control by ElMod and for the control of the front-MG with a servo.





So gradually was the Tiger completed again; but before I continued with the other tags, a test drive took place in grounds.
Basically, I was happy with the ride, but then I had a big problem, more to that then later.

Due to the planned installation of a slip ring, had the charge connector to be moved from the turret in the lower hull. The main reason was the limited permitted amperage of max. 2 amps on the slip ring - okay, I could to limit the charging amperage, but fast charging is going different. Nevertheless, should charging the battery be possible without to open the tank.

Simultaneously should be the main fuse accessible from the outside (even without to open the armor), for both I have provided the area of the driver's hatch. Initially, I had toyed with the possibility of installing a bridge made of aluminium sheet from one to the other chain cover for on / off switch, fuse and charging socket; that would also once again brought more stability.
This plan I had to give up pretty quickly, because, also due to the still following servo installation for controlling the front MG, there is simply not enough space available.
The used starting material was an aluminium angle - pictures.

I've cut three M3 threads for mounting...



…and mounted to my base plate.



Wiring work has begun...



…and are finished.



However, I had underestimated the quite thick hinge of the driver's hatch, for plugging the charging cable was not enough space available. So again remeasured and changed - pictures.



Also under the radio man’s hatch is not many space, but it was successfully.





Initially my battery was lying flat in the tank; this I have also amended as already seen in the last pictures.
