Don't get me wrong...the Tank is an Icon when it came to a Heavy tank...but it just isn't sexy

Hi all
Thank you for your kind comments.
I have done a little more work on Tiki and now the tank drives real nice.
The left hand idler was just a bad unit,it was jamming up on the axle shaft and so i replaced it with another from a old scrap tiger,gave it a paint and it's all good now.
I also had to mess around with the speaker,i took it out of the hl case and placed it in a trumpet shaped yogurt pot and glued all this to the side of the inner hull under the engine vent.Now the sound has some depth and a little roar to it and sounds way better than standard.

Other news
I have started a battery conversion for the trumpeter T34/85.i am making up a pack that will sit in the lower hull and charge via the front hatch.
I will also swap out the electrics in this model one day for something better but not now as i have a stack load to do on other models.

sorry this took a long time to do but i was busy on so many other things this just ended up on the back burner so to speak.
Ok it's done at last after adding the pe grills to the rad vents on the rear,opening up the closed drivers view port and a couple of soppy odds and ends.
I give you

Good morning, the paint on 'Tiki' is pretty darn good! You have really grabbed the essence of the tank from the old photos. Some guys standing around in uniform and greatcoats and it's B&W photo time. ;o)

Nice Job on your Tiki Jussek...2012...that was awhile back....makes you wonder what was in the mind of the person who named the tank....TIKI.... like he must have visited some tropical paradise..

Now, according to wiki-tiki...

"In M?ori mythology, Tiki is the first man, created by either T?matauenga or T?ne. He found the first woman, Marikoriko, in a pond; she seduced him and he became the father of Hine-kau-ataata. By extension, a tiki is a large wooden carving in humanoid form, although this is a somewhat archaic usage in the M?ori language. Carvings similar to tikis are found in most Central Eastern Polynesian cultures. They often serve to mark the boundaries of sacred or significant sites."

So he's basically the Maori equivalent of Adam.

In this carving from Hawaii I think you can see some semblance to the clean lines of the Tiger 1:
