Hi folks,

I had a look around in all the cheap shops in town today, but couldn't find any of these apart from the rip-off Maplin one. I'll have a look around the cheap shops near where I work this week. Hopefully one of us will find a cheap source of them not requiring postage!!

The one in Maplins had a very long rectangular section, that could be shortened quite considerably without detriment I think.

Whilst I rarely have the tangled-cable problem, it would be good to be able to simply plug the turret cable in and out.
Having said that I have used veroboard, 0.1inch pitch pins and the 8-way cable from blown HL boards to make a few of my turrets pluggable.
The benefit of having all 8 pins is that you can pass the MG signal to an LED in the turret.

Try these from e bay, mine took 2 days to arrive and cheap enough. he does the handset cable very cheaply too ( I got stung 7 notes ! . . . .)  ;D

Hi Andicog,

I know about that link because I found it and posted it a few days ago!!! See above!
;D
Plus, I don't think you've realised just how tight I am (ask Tiger205, he knows me!)
If I've seen then for sale somewhere (with extra postage I admit) for ~90p, then I'm damned sure I'm going to find them somewhere for about that price and _not_ have to pay postage!!

That's how tight I am!!

;D

hi pete,
when me and nigel were discussing these adaptors, we see they only had 4 wires comeing from them, which is a bit of a bummer for me, aswell as you, still i'm sure there must be something out there that will do the job
