It is a tragedy in a way Herman... It's too bad there weren't any trusts or other finances set aside to keep the collection intact ...Perhaps the Logic behind the auction arranged as it is... A shame to break the collection up, but understandable. I really feel for the volunteer curators and guides, they will take this to heart I believe.
The audacity and 'Elan shown by Mr Littlefield to literally buy of the battlefield is something to be inspired by.
The opportunity to vist was a privelidge.
