thing is ...the transmission cover still sits perfectly

Cannot believe i fitted them the wrong way...DOH!!!

Will try and move them tonight - COZ, now i know it is WRONG........

The gap has also been improved a little now with some fine adjustment.
I will have to live with that now.

Greetings Tim...the lights weren't supposed to be like that? .....thought the Brits did a mod ...
Still think that gap can be dealt with to having no gap at all... it would improve the look of your tank leaps and bounds ....I don't know how you mounted your magnets but if you glued them to the stock Mato towers... there might be your problem... especially if you didn't cut the towers to accommodate the magnets...the other solution I have for you is to cut the transmission cover along the front edge and raise it to meet the upper hull... not sure if you can replace the decals you already have there...but it will improve the presentation of your tank
Again... sorry for the harsh critique... but Imo people post their tanks here for a reason... that being an honest opinion...it would be easy for me to have joined in with the crowd and say oooooooooo fabulous job... and walk away...
But if your goal is to be better...perhaps learn... how else will you know?...Most here are Gentlemen... and very polite... I've actually received only one critique ...it wasn't harsh but a suggestion... found that person was correct.. it took me awhile to find the material to replace what he suggested.. but I did agree that what I had at the time wasn't a good look
All in all it's up to the builder...and what he perceives what is satisfactory or not

Damn it, I could have kept quiet about the lights

I think i will leave the tranny cover as it as is for now but re-visit later. I could even add a plank and stowage to the front if needs be.
I spent way too long on it already and no real desire to hack at it again when ive got so many wore waiting to be completed.

I have 2 more Shermans i want to complete over the next week, then I'll get back to my German backlog.
I have got a Stuh42 that needs the rear stowage frame building then painting.
Panzer III J ready for paint.
Panzer IV G ready for paint.

After that it will be the Stug IV and a Jagdpanzer IV which need building and detailing still.

I am looking forward to doing the Jagpanzer IV as it wil be my first Zimmerite tank.

Well I've always said there is an upside to doing Historical Dirty ... Stowage laden builds... you can hide flaws ..with a clean tank you really can't... flaws stand out actually...but it's to the benefit of both the board and the modeller... as there are many times I don't notice a flaw till I photograph my tanks and post them here ...then I just go back and correct them...take another photo before anyone says anything

And Yeah.... you could have pulled that Light situation off .... labelled it a "in the field Mod"... or something the Brits did...just because ...too late now though... Now you have to fix it ....................
