Hi Sorry to be the bearer of bad news ,have you tried the sprockets on yet,you will find the off set is to big ,stick them on and take a look. you will have to shorten the drive shafts extend the flat and deepen the screw hole. Its the only draw back when using the mato lower.

I actually chopped the front end off then cut it in half vertically widened it a couple of mill or so bodged it up, sat the gears in so there was a little room to play with but now so I can have room to work it needs long shaft gears if these gears are long shaft then its game over, one little experiment over ? wot wot ......

Hi canned not sure what your building ( I been away working abroad) but if your putting heng long boxes into a mato hull. here's a couple of pictures from my trailbrazer build if it helpsI used the metal gearboxes with long shafts it very tight and you have to wriggle the gearbox/motor assembly's in as a pair but so far they are working a treat.

You can chop quite a lot off the front as the transmission cover will cover it

mmmmmm it seems as I may have been a bit drastic chopping it up, but long shaft gears is the answer ?but how long are long shaft gears ?
also the space to refit the mato bogies without having to cram stuff in was the other reason for the drastic chopping .....
