Tank Gearbox 1:16 scale

Post by Battlechip »

Hi Folks, I have a Mato metal Tiger 1. Ive built a steel gearbox that will give me more power and control , i hope. this is my test version and its first test, overall a success. version 2 is going to be a lot lower gearing , more compact and asthetically pleasing to the eye. ive built this as i intend on using the tank for crawling mountainous garden and deep mud...and also is very quiet ,with more power than any condition requires cheers...

Hi Very nice bit of engineering you have done there. Have seen gearboxes made for brushless motors but they used 2 smaller motors ,havnt seen one done for one motor.

That looks strong. Next time do a short video

It's a step away from the traditional gearboxes today. I love the design of the tamiya leo gearbox, and Wonder why nobody try to make a cheaper version ( I know there is a super expensive German on)
