Looks great Cupotea... you know what I like best about your build... is that I have been able to pick up many techniques ....everything is clean and well sorted....Everything you've done has assisted me with both my Kv2 and my Sherman

Great build.. I can't wait to see you do another

Good Morning, Cup.
Those wooden crates are a benchmark item! Excellent and meticulous work.

A little bit of progress. Have made a tow cable by twisting two lengths of brass picture hanging wire together. The ferrules are made from plastic tube expanded at one end to look a little like like Russian ones i found on Google.Image

Cup,
Sweet work on the tow cable. It looks very Russian. Are you going to do a Sov-style commander? That would make a great finishing touch. Also, labeling one of those wooden crates as Wodka. ;o)

I agree with Painless ...Cupotea... that homemade cable is a great idea...think I'm going to take it lol .... ;) Hope you don't mind :D ....Probably use it on my Kv2...as I was planning on using some cable from a hardware store.... found it was no good... as it was too stiff... and wouldn't lay down
For some reason never thought of making it from scratch with softer wire

just another lesson learned from a Masterful creative builder... Thanks much for the idea... Cupotea

Hey Cupotea....Thanks for the tip on making the cable... I was able to make two for my Kv2.... using two sets of motor windings from a broken 1/35 scale Sherman...one motor had enough cable to make one cable.... took all the windings off the stator .... three sets.... folded them into eight strand component windings ,,, then put them in my drill to tighten each one up... aligned all of them and wound them into one cable... they came out great ...so now my Kv2 has a little more "bling" to her sting ;)

Hi Painless

It will be a couple of weeks before i do any more to the Sherman. We are having some work done in the house and so my 'workshop' will be out of action for a while.
