Tamiya IR Led
Has anyone placed an IR LED in a tamiya sherman firefly barrel with the flash unit behind it. Having problem of wires fitting to tight.HELP. Thanks Warhawkone.
Re: Tamiya IR Led
Hey Warhawk... I've never seen both hooked up in such close proximity usually the flash is in the barrel.. and the IR is in the mandrel or somewhere else that is strategically advantageous

Got any pics of the firefly? Would love to see!
Re: Tamiya IR Led
I know it can be done if you get thin enough wires. The only attempt I have is on my SU-152 but the big hunky muzzle brake is large enough to have the IR and the flash side by side.Warhawkone wrote:Has anyone placed an IR LED in a tamiya sherman firefly barrel with the flash unit behind it. You will have to use 3mm flash LED for sure, and you can forget about using high intensity flash unit.

but just for the sake of conversation... these are MANDRELS

and as you can clearly see... the LED and flash units aren't placed in close proximity
