Gut the inside totally for more space and resin fill lower hull for stability
replace all the grills on the upper hull
I think Panther black steel gearboxes will fit.
Upgrade to Clark board
Full servo recoil
bigger speaker in a sound box
I'm thinking to try it with plastic sprockets and tracks first. I have heard that putting metal on doesn't help because you really have no teeth on the drive sprocket to grab so throwing more weight on them just causes more slipping and worse performance on inclines than with the plastic.
Phils fix to match height and track lay with my WSN's... more realistic
And of course paint and detailing. HL did a different model of turret than WSN so that will make it a nice addition to my fleet.
I will let you know tonight on the figure.
About time I opened it up...
Oh and by the way here is your cry

..... Mine has been on the workbench for the past month ...like everyone else... the timing of it's arrival (literally it was shipped on the slow boat from CHINA) clashed with other projects...not to mention how much of a hassle the T34 was to get....took some of the excitement out of the tank....so basically I tested it... and let it sit....I thank the RC tank gods for Phil.... as a few days later he posted the suspension mod...a little life breathed into the tank ... I took it apart and did the mod...and that's when I got lucky... as I found mine had metal gears.... not the high end blacks .... but still something I didn't expect
The plastic tracks are terrible IMO

...as they have no traction at all....even with the metal gearboxes .... they would slip and slide ...thus relegating it back to the workbench.... while I waited for metal tracks to arrive...ordered these..
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tank-Track-Meta ... 5ae32bdfd4
It has a much more robust "mark" on the links...but I could only install one side.... as they were too short...the seller is sending me another set of spare links ... so I can put the other side on and take it for a test run...so once again it sits... back on the workbench... In some ways I am unenthused about it because I have had so many problems with it ...hopefully ... when the spare links arrive I will have regained the drive to work on it again
It's a great looking tank...not as refined detail wise as the WSN...but that's all good...as I like the durability factor over the WSN...not to mention the better gearboxes
I am tempted to exchange the road wheels with the WSN as those have rubber...but it's not something I put a priority on
the main concern for me was the hatch... it opened... but totally wrong for what I am doing
I'll post later to tell you about the tracks... I think they will work much better than the HENG LONGs.... with that said... I'm not even sure of the traction factor of the metal HENG LONG tracks ....because if they come from a similar mold as the plastic ones... they will be just as flat .. and just as slippery...so far ... that's the biggest problem with it... the traction
Have a great HALLOWEEN Dgsselkirk
