This started as a really cheap ebay buy that had nothing in it but a set of heng long metal gearboxes that someone had fitted. It was the early model without the hull detail parts. First I put in all heng long electrics accept for the main gun elevation unit which came out of 21st centry abrams that Ive been cutting up as the need for flat plastic panels arises. Even the turret rotation is heng long.
I picked up detail parts bags an ebay and had a nice looking and running howitzer gunned M4 that as tamya made it was not used by the USArmy during ww2. After about a year Agular started to sell his easy eight conversion again on ebay.
I took off the howitzer turret transfered the electrics, turret gear ring and just for the heck of it the loaders hatch. put it all in or on the new turret and after a little further detailing have what you see. The reciever antenna on the turret is allso HL.

Great looking Sherman buddy and I feel your pain with the money issues into our hobby. I to started off with a basic HL Tiger 1 but with all the add-ons from Tamiya, Welshdragon, Axels Modellbau, Asiatam and E-Bay, I'm up to $300. Thats without the electronics, running gear and turret. Got to love it this hobby.
