Matorro Jagdtiger top hull wiring question.

I need help on this one and hopefully some of you have found the solution before. My new Matorro Jagdtiger came with bad electronics. I have swapped out the internals in the lower hill with HL electronics and it works fine. My problem is the 8 pin HL turret harness doesn't work with the Matorro top hull. I have contacted Nathan at RC Tanks of OKC, who I bought it from, and thus far, he has no answer for me. I'm sure I'm not the first one to have this problem so any help on a solution would be greatly appreciated. Right now I have a large piece of plastic that looks great but that's it! I'd really like to have a full function tank at some point. Thanks in advance for any insight to my problem.

I think I rewired vonverted one of these for a friend of mine a while ago. The wireing is not compatable between the two.
I think I made a copy of the wireing conversion I did for my mate I will have a look for it for you.

That would be great. Still haven't had any luck from RC Tanks of OKC on fixing the wiring. It's a great looking tank, too bad the Matorro wiring is so poor. Thanks for the help!

Hi Panzernut.

I have found the conversion I did for my friends JagdTiger.

This worked for me.

*** I BEAR NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER for any burn outs defects, scorched rx18 or any motor wireing or short circuit fire damage that may occure when you / if you try this conversion. ***

***It is undestood that it is AT YOUR OWN RISK if you decide to follow this wireing.***

ok now that is out of the way.

Red wire on the heng long plug to the black machine gun wire in top hull.
Black wire heng long plug to black wire head light in top hull.
Blue heng long plug wire to blue motor for elevation in top hull.
Yellow wire in heng long plug not used.
Brown wire in heng long plug to black wire on the motor for fireing bb in top hull.
Green heng long wire in plug to green motor for elevation in top hull also feeds yellow wire in machine gun.
White heng long plug wire to red wire for head light in top hull.
Orange wire in heng long plug not used.

Hope this helps worked for me after about 2 wks head scratching AND WORKING IT OUT.

you need to resolder the 8 pin socket so the wires run the same as the rx18
I just copied the wiring from a Tiger 1 and made a diagram then resoldered the plug to match,
the problem comes with the headlight and MG as they share the same earth wire so you will have to solder a new earth on the headlight

Sub,

Worked like a champ! I now have my Jagdtiger running. Had to take apart the motor drive for the barrel movement but I got that to work. Runs great. Bigwheels stated I'd need to resolder an earth wire to the headlamp. What wire would that be? The machine gun and headlight are both lit at all times right now? I don't want to mess up what I've been able to do. Ant help would be appreciated. Thanks again guys!

Hi, panzernut.

Glad to be of service...

The headlight and machine gun share a feed.
Not sure if its neg or poss. I think its poss

Its quite a while since I did this conversion so the below is
From memory as I didnt make a note of it.
I think I disconected the machine gun from the headlight so that the headlight worked as normal

I then Ran a separate wire to the machine gun on the neg side as I think its activated when neg is connected but to which terminal im not sure.

Sorry but thats all I remember without getting hold of my mates j/tiger and dismantling it...........with the previous mentioned disclamer
you could try holding down the machine gun fire button on the tx and touching the wire above onto the orange feed in the hull block.
And see if the machine gun flashes.
