i want to show you my new item in stock.
its a universal Batteladabter for the RX-18, that means you can use your Standart Heng Long Tank in a battel against Tamiya, Elmod, EGS and WSN Tanks with out any changes at your HL. you only need to conet this Platina between the BU conector and the RX 18.

you can find it here at my side

Hi Chris,

I've got a first and second generation of these Mako boards (believe third generation is now available) and think there fantastic. 8)

Highly recommend them, gets you up and running against more expensive Tamiya tanks at a fraction of the cost.

Are you going to stock other products from RC Tank Australia like the RC2HL and ATRC.

jes third generation will come soon in my stock. its a perfect think, expezialy if you have more tanks, spending elmod or tamiya for every your tank is relativly expensiv and this platin is a good chelenge. I have it to in my cromwell :-).

when the new ATRC is ready i will stock it too, with the option for a servo gun recoil its a real upgrade for a heng long.

maybe the other platine (rc2hl) will be add too but im not sure at the moment.

The boards are interesting but not really plug and play in my club. There are a couple issues....
1) the Ir emmiter needs to be at the bottom of a 9mm tube. The fan pattern of the stock hl emmiter is more like a shot gun than a tank shell.
2) as far as I know, the chips do not reduce motor power with the number of hits....so no battle damage, thats a no-no
3) In our club, you need lights to show hits, the hl apple does not have these.

The Mako board now comes with an LED to mount on the tank to indicate a hit, also flashes to indicate the reload time has elasped and you can fire another shot.

I know the "not to club standard" has been argued before. But the concept of this is you can fit it for very little cost and have some fun with neighbour or other forum member.

jes the LED is new to the Bord and mad its more usable for the battel.
i think the mako is a good choice to see if the battel szene is something for you, if you like it and you need it upgradet later you can buy a Mamba Platine as adition for your MAKO than you have a 100% Battel rule comform Battelunit.
The Mamba do made a speed reduktion as it is known from the other battelunits.

Mustclime the emitter needs to be 9mm deep inside a tube yes, you put an HL emitter 9mm deep inside a tube and it shoots the same width pattern as Tamiya.
The Mako board itself does not reduce tank speed after hits but the upcoming Mamba board add on addresses this issue.
The newest Mako board does have the Bergpanzer repair option though and an extra weight class so you can have Light, Medium and Heavy tanks. The ATRC board removes all the HL death spasms and track recoils from firing which is sweet.
The new Mako board also has a Red LED that can be mounted anywhere you can drill a hole, so it does have visible confirmation of a hit.
Like Chris I too support the Mako product in Canada and one thing I can say about it is that it is very very easy to use and it is plug and play.
The real use for the Mako product is for fun battles that won't make you turn your pockets out.
Soon enough it will be a very real competitor to any system made
