Re: metal gearbox stripped
I was thinking about replacing the 'broken' gear... but the quality of the metal is so poor i would recon it would fail again very soon... the hop up parts for these heng longs are really not that good at all tbh, Theres to much movement in all the axels for the gears and what not.. so they will slip/crunch/munch there way smooth....
Will have to get hold of a pure steel set up...with roller barings the whole lot... however ££££££ <---- ehhh

Re: metal gearbox stripped
That's why I strip my metal gear boxes and shim them with brass washers then run them in with grinding paste, it makes them much smoother, quieter and so far I have not damaged any gears since doing that.Silverstalker wrote: Theres to much movement in all the axels for the gears and what not.. so they will slip/crunch/munch there way smooth....
